Leslie Goldberg

Leslie joined Advantage Healthcare Inc. in December of 2000, bringing with her more than 17 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry - on both the agency and the client sides of the business, and in both US and international marketing and operations assignments.

Since joining Advantage Healthcare, Inc. in 2000, Leslie has handled assignments that span the company's core competencies, including:

  • Commercial assessments
  • Marketing and market research plans
  • White papers and therapeutic/market overviews
  • Key Opinion Leader and HVP research
  • Benchmarking studies
  • Training programs
  • Medical education activities (continuing medical education programs, advisory boards, publications)

Leslie's most recent projects were in diabetes, arthritis, immunology, cardiology, dermatology, and central nervous system (CNS) disorders.

Prior to joining Advantage Healthcare, she held the position of Vice President, Management Supervisor, at PACE, Inc., an integrated communications firm, where she handled products in the ophthalmology, cardiovascular, CNS, migraine, gastroenterology, and weight loss categories. Her responsibilities at PACE involved providing strategic insight and implementing programs for several product launches as well as in-line products. In 2000, Leslie partnered with her clients to help manage and support all phases of prelaunch and launch promotional and managed care market research (initial category exploratory research, positioning and message testing, qualitative and quantitative journal ad and detail aid testing, and managed care advisory boards); developed core launch materials; participated in pricing/contracting, manufacturing, and packaging discussions; and was involved in FDA Advisory Board preparations and DDMAC submissions. In addition, Leslie helped implement several managed care activities including advisory boards, regional account manager presentations, formulary kits, conversion programs, and disease management algorithms and support materials.

Prior to joining PACE, Leslie was a Partner, Account Group Supervisor, at Dugan Farley Communications, where she handled the Wyeth Lederle Vaccines and Essilor of America accounts. Leslie also held the position of Account Supervisor at Harrison Wilson & Associates, where she was responsible for the Premarin (international) and Pfizer (US) managed care businesses.

Leslie's previous positions in the pharmaceutical industry included a number of positions with American Cyanamid Company (Lederle International and Lederle Praxis Biologicals, currently known as Wyeth Lederle Vaccines), Product Manager at Baxter International, and Medical Sales Representative at the Roerig Division of Pfizer. Therapeutic areas of focus included childhood and adult vaccines, antibiotics, oncology, rheumatology, and cardiovascular products.

As Manager, Strategic Product Planning, at Lederle Praxis Biologicals, Leslie was responsible for the development and implementation of a managed care marketing plan and implementation of market research projects to support new and in-line brands. In addition, she worked closely with the Divisional President, Director of Policy, in-house attorney, outside counsel, and lobbyists in Washington to develop vaccine pricing and utilization scenarios to support the Division's position against the Vaccine for Children Program. As a response to this government initiative, Leslie headed up a team of information technology and distribution personnel to develop and implement a vaccine consignment program for Medicaid recipients (short term) and managed care organizations (long term).

From 1986 to 1992, Leslie held a variety of positions at Lederle International. As Director, Marketing Research, she managed all phases of market research projects that supported new-product launches, the evaluation of line extensions, and new indications for existing brands. In addition, Leslie analyzed new business opportunities for pipeline products and licensing opportunities. Prior to this position, she was Product Manager for injectable antibiotics, developing strategies and tactical programs to support the growth of piperacillin and the launch of piperacillin/tazobactam internationally. Leslie joined Lederle International as Supervisor, Marketing Research, responsible for oncology, rheumatology, and cardiovascular products.

Earlier in her professional career, Leslie worked for Baxter International as Product Manager in the Parenterals Division, where she was responsible for the launch of the Travenol Infusor, a device for continuous chemotherapy for the treatment of breast cancer. Immediately after graduation from Rutgers College of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy, Leslie joined the pharmaceutical industry with the Roerig Division of Pfizer as a Medical Sales Representative, supporting their central nervous system agents and antibiotics.

Leslie also holds an MBA in Marketing, Finance, and Healthcare from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. She maintains her license as a registered pharmacist in New Jersey.
